When asked to Agents and Casting Directors what they would like actors to have more of, they often say IMPRO. Actors need to learn to listen and let go of what they think will happen in order to allow the scene to build.  There is nothing like improv to teach you to trust your partner and let go of how you think it should go.  Successful improv stems from a supportive environment where students are encouraged to take risks, build confidence in their choices. We start with simple games,  you will learn to explore by experienced teachers, focusing on creativity, active listening,  and acceptance.  You will discover the comedic potential of unique characters and dynamic relationships.  You will learn sacrifice and teamwork.  Improv is a great way to advance in quick thinking and a wonderful way to put your wit to the test.  You will love the unexpected and learn to trust yourself and your classmates.

Month of June 2019

Learn to build the scene. Students build a toolbox that they can easily grab from in a performance. Learn purpose-driven “short-form” scenes. We will help you create rich characters, with heightened relationships.   We will tackle group scenes while exploring your environment. Students discover the limitless potential in each other and the world around them.

Month of July

Lets get read to perform.. You will learn all forms of improv and will become familiar with “The Harold”.  Students build game-driven scenes, work and explore, the  “If-Then” patterns that can be used to produce rewarding long-form structures. We will end this month showcasing for friends and family what you have learned.  We are simply teaching you o put your Words in Motion!!!

Each session ends with a Student Showcase.
